Josh Colton is a finance professional, aviation entrepreneur, and ATP-rated pilot with a career spanning corporate aviation, capital markets, and asset-backed investing.

Through Sky Air Capital, Josh works with investors seeking income from private real estate lending secured by trust deeds. In this role, he also represents Mojave Capital, connecting investor capital with carefully underwritten short-term real estate loans backed by recorded real estate collateral.

Josh is also the founding partner of AeroSpring Leasing, an aircraft leasing company that acquires and leases training aircraft to flight schools across the United States.

Josh was the founder and President of Sky Allies Capital, an aircraft loan brokerage firm that he later sold to FLYING Financial, the financial services division of FLYING Magazine. The firm specialized in connecting aircraft buyers with lenders and structuring financing solutions for general aviation aircraft transactions.

Previously, Josh spent 13 years with Textron Aviation, where he held senior roles in marketing and business development. His responsibilities included marketing strategy, distribution planning, and leadership of the Cessna Pilot Center network, one of the world’s largest general aviation flight training systems. During his tenure he traveled extensively and helped expand the Cessna brand in emerging aviation markets including Brazil, Russia, India, and China.

Josh graduated at the top of his marketing class from the University of Utah, later earning an MBA with a finance emphasis. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and remains an active pilot. Outside of aviation and finance, he enjoys flying, outdoor sports, and travel. Early in life he lived in Austria for two years, an experience that sparked his interest in international business and culture.
