Sky Air LLC connects investors with asset-backed income opportunities in aviation. We structure aircraft investments through investor-owned special purpose vehicles and through AeroSpring Leasing LLC, where Sky Air serves as the managing member and is an equity owner.
We help investors acquire aircraft, structure financing and leases, evaluate qualified operators, and professionally manage aircraft assets throughout the ownership cycle—from acquisition and placement through ongoing asset management and eventual disposition.
Sky Air also works directly with established aviation operators that require aircraft for their businesses, supplying aircraft primarily through operating (“true”) leases.
Our role is straightforward: help investors make sound aircraft investment decisions, connect quality aircraft with qualified operators, and professionally manage the asset from acquisition through exit.
Joshua Colton, Founder
Joshua Colton is a finance professional, aviation entrepreneur, and ATP-rated pilot, type-rated captain in Citation, Honda and Gulfstream jets. He has sat on four sides of an aircraft transaction — the flight deck, the manufacturer, the lender, and the lessor — before ever advising a buyer.
He is the founding partner of AeroSpring Leasing, an aircraft leasing company that acquires and leases training aircraft to flight schools across the United States. Previously, he was founder and President of Sky Allies Capital, an aircraft loan brokerage he later sold to FLYING Financial.
Before that, Josh spent thirteen years at Textron Aviation in senior marketing and business-development roles, including marketing strategy, distribution planning, and leadership of the Cessna Pilot Center network, one of the world's largest general aviation flight training systems. During that time he helped expand the Cessna brand in emerging aviation markets including Brazil, Russia, India, and China.
Josh graduated in Marketing from the University of Utah and later earned an MBA with a finance emphasis.
